Oscar Registration by Nuwa

Once the registration period of Oscar GNSS receiver expires, RTK mode of the receiver will be banned. Using Nuwa software or using the panel to set Oscar to base mode or rover mode will fail. At this time, Oscar needs to be additionally registered to extend its effective period. Additional registration for Oscar does not require access to web pages, internal systems, or other operations that require remote assistance. You only need to have an Android controller with Nuwa app installed. 1. First apply to Tersus for an additional registration permission. Once permitted, Tersus will send you the following characters. license update 1ADC………………C533 2. Create a new text file with the suffix txt. The file name is the eight digit SN of the Oscar to be registered. If you are not sure what the eight digit SN of the receiver is, you can use Nuwa to connect with this Oscar and check the eight digit SN under Device interface. Then copy the characters from the first step and paste it in a te

How to Use Oscar to Collect Static Data for A Given Length of Time

Usually, we need to collect static data for a given length of time, for example, 2 hours. In the past, the surveyor had to record the start time and keep an eye on the clock all the time. The function of setting the static collection duration in Oscar GNSS Receiver can solve this problem. When setting the static survey, the surveyor only needs to enter the duration time, then start it, and no more attention will be required. When the time is up, Oscar will automatically stop recording, with no fewer or more data. Now we show you how to set the Oscar static collection duration on the OLED display of Oscar. 1. Turn on the Oscar, press the Power ON/OFF button and Function (FN) button, and go to Mode Config -> Static. The default option of Static is OFF, and you can press the Function (FN) button to switch it to “Auto” or “Manual”. 2. Go to Duration to set the collection time, for example, 120 minutes. 3. Set other options, then choose “Confirm”, and it will start to collect static

Map rotation in Stakeout

Nuwa app has always been committed to favorable user interaction experience. During the staking process, we often find that we are still some distance away from the target point. At this time we need to go to the target point for staking, but a simple connection to the target point in the app is not enough. This line is not intuitive enough that can't directly tell us which direction should go and how many meters should walk. Therefore, in the previous versions of Nuwa, we added a large blue arrow to the stakeout interface. It will calculate the direction that the surveyor should move based on the azimuth of the compass and the target point in the controller. Although this indicates the direction intuitively to a certain extent, it is not the final goal for Tersus who strives for excellence. In the latest Nuwa version, we added the map rotation function, which can be turned on by selecting [Rotate map when staking] in config of the Stakeout interface. The meaning of map rotat
