"Satellite Navigation" is the first English journal in the field of satellite navigation in China.

"Satellite Navigation" is the first English journal in the field of satellite navigation in China. It's a new publication offering scientific research in the field of satellite navigation that has just been launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Springer Nature.

The journal aims to report new results or progress on the theoretical techniques and applications of satellite navigation. It will publish original articles, reviews, and commentaries that focus on studies such as satellite navigation signals, anti-jamming methods and time and coordinate reference systems, as well as intelligent applications.

Yang Yuanxi, deputy chief designer of China's BeiDou Satellite Navigation System (BDS) and a CAS academician, is the chief editor of the journal. The editorial board has drawn more than 40 experts from countries including China, Germany, Britain, the United States, and Russia.

One article in the first issue displays the basic performance and future developments of the BDS by Yang and his research team. Also in the inaugural issue is an article about sensor technologies for navigation applications written by Canadian scientist Naser El-Sheimy.

These articles are available on the journal's website:

Three Typical Situations of Earthwork Measurement

Three Typical Situations of Earthwork Measurement Tips for earthwork measurement under different circumstances with Tersus Oscar GNSS receiver and NUWA APP Earthwork calculations are essential in many survey projects, but the complexity of measurement and calculations causes many new engineers headaches. In general, earthwork calculation is divided into two parts: excavation and filling, which can also be simply understood as volume and capacity calculation. The following are the Tips for using the Tersus Oscar GNSS receiver and NUWA App for earthwork measurement under different circumstances. The powerful earthwork calculation function of the NUWA app can calculate the result and quickly; you only need to import the survey points and then input the reference altitude. Notes for measurement: When measuring points, we should measure as many points on the surface of the object as possible. The density of survey points needs to be strengthened in places where the terrain changes sig...

Introduction of Nuwa APP's location share function

Today we are going to introduce the Nuwa APP's location share function. It can share the centimeter-level accuracy coordinates obtained from Tersus receiver to other android apps. The following introduction takes a map app as an example. 1. Turn off GPS location on an android device and turn on airplane mode, open a map app and it cannot display any positioning results at this time. 2. Launch Nuwa app, connect a Tersus GNSS receiver, configure the receiver to receive satellite signals and correction data, and ensure the solution status is fixed and high-precision coordinates are displayed. 3. Under the submenu Project -> Settings, turn on [Location Sharing]. 4. After turning on this function, it will automatically jump to the android system setting interface. Find ‘Select mock location app’, click and select Nuwa. 5. Open the map app, it displays the positioning result at this time. Actually this positioning result is the high-precision positioning result of the Tersus receiver ...
