BASE SHIFT in Nuwa

In ‘Auto Start’ mode for base station, if the base is moved, or re-started at an unknown point, base shift should be performed to ensure the points collected under the current base station is consistent with that before the base is moved or re-started.

In Nuwa, when performing a base shift, you can choose to use the current base point to calculate the shift amount, or you can choose to use survey point under current base to calculate the shift amount. They are essentially the same, and will apply the shift amount to all the survey points under current base, so that the current plane coordinate datum remains the same as before moving or re-starting.

If the Auto Start base station is re-started at the same location, Nuwa prompts to detect the movement of the base station after the rover is fixed. At this time, the current base station Base1 and the base station Base0 before the restart are used for the calculation. Convert the coordinates of Base0 to control point coordinates, select Base1 as the GNSS point and click [Calculate].

Tersus Geomatics Office - Static Surveying - Data Processing

Tersus Geomatics Office is integrated office software to manage and process data for NeoRTK, the RTK survey receiver. It is laid out with visualized toolbars and logical icons to easily handle GNSS data processing, baseline processing and network adjustment, etc. It is the software set to import, update and analyze data effectively.  Watch the video to know how to do data processing after static surveying data collection with NeoRTK.  Learn more, click here .  Inquiry, click here .

Three Typical Situations of Earthwork Measurement

Three Typical Situations of Earthwork Measurement Tips for earthwork measurement under different circumstances with Tersus Oscar GNSS receiver and NUWA APP Earthwork calculations are essential in many survey projects, but the complexity of measurement and calculations causes many new engineers headaches. In general, earthwork calculation is divided into two parts: excavation and filling, which can also be simply understood as volume and capacity calculation. The following are the Tips for using the Tersus Oscar GNSS receiver and NUWA App for earthwork measurement under different circumstances. The powerful earthwork calculation function of the NUWA app can calculate the result and quickly; you only need to import the survey points and then input the reference altitude. Notes for measurement: When measuring points, we should measure as many points on the surface of the object as possible. The density of survey points needs to be strengthened in places where the terrain changes sig...

How to Use Oscar to Collect Static Data for A Given Length of Time

Usually, we need to collect static data for a given length of time, for example, 2 hours. In the past, the surveyor had to record the start time and keep an eye on the clock all the time. The function of setting the static collection duration in Oscar GNSS Receiver can solve this problem. When setting the static survey, the surveyor only needs to enter the duration time, then start it, and no more attention will be required. When the time is up, Oscar will automatically stop recording, with no fewer or more data. Now we show you how to set the Oscar static collection duration on the OLED display of Oscar. 1. Turn on the Oscar, press the Power ON/OFF button and Function (FN) button, and go to Mode Config -> Static. The default option of Static is OFF, and you can press the Function (FN) button to switch it to “Auto” or “Manual”. 2. Go to Duration to set the collection time, for example, 120 minutes. 3. Set other options, then choose “Confirm”, and it will start to collect st...
